BITTER GUARD/KARELA/BITTER MELON:
Bitter gourd is a rich source of vitamins and minerals. It
contains iron, magnesium, potassium and vitamins like A and C. It contains twice the calcium of spinach and
beta-carotene of broccoli. Various anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory
compounds are present in bitter gourd.
It also helps in lowering the bad cholesterol levels, thus
reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. That’s not all. It strengthens
the immune system, improves respiratory health, boosts skin health and contains
anti-ageing properties.
Bitter gourd contains polypeptide, an insulin-like compound
called charantin, which has anti-diabetic properties. These components actively
help in reducing the blood sugar levels. It also helps to prevent unpredictable
spikes and drops in insulin levels by regulating the metabolism and use of
sugar the body has consumed. Bitter gourd acts as a hypoglycemic agent. It is
rich source of soluble fiber and is low in glycemic index, which helps in
lowering the blood sugar level.
Take bitter guard/karela juice everyday, 1 glass approximately
150 mL and monitor blood glucose simultaneously.
INDIAN GOOSEBERRY/AMLA:
Indian Gooseberry/Amla is wonderful herbal and fruit, which
is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals and antioxidants. It is rich in vitamin C and A and it is also
rich in minerals like copper, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, carotene,
fiber, protein, …etc. It contains low
carbohydrate content. So it has antioxidants, which fight against infectious
agents. So it has medicinal properties,
it is widely used in ayurvedic medicine. Everyone knows the main ingredient of
Chyvanaprash is Amla, and used in many other medications. Daily use of Amla increases immunity and
give strength and stamina to fight against seasonal diseases. It has anti-ageing properties, so it prevents
aging. Amla also contains chromium which
helps to control diabetes mellitus type 2.
Generally take 1 to 2 Amla/indian Gooseberry everyday, which improve
your health as well.
To control diabetes, you can take Amla powder 3 grams every
day, can also take Amla juice. Take raw
Indian gooseberry/amla and raw turmeric (not dried) juice 75 ml in the morning
with empty stomach. This helps to reduce
blood sugar levels and help to improve immunity
GURMAR/à´šà´•്à´•à´°à´•്à´•ൊà´²്à´²ി/GYMNEMA
SYLVESTRE:
Gurmar is commonly known Meshashringi, madhumehari,
madhunashini, means destroyer of sugar.
This herb is widely used in Ayurveda.

Gymnema sylvestre leaves contain triterpenoid saponins, flavonols, and gurmarin. So Gurmar has anti-diabetic properties, which helps reducing sugar levels and decrease resistance of insulin and promotes insulin secretion. This herb is widely used in ayurveda.
To control blood sugar levels, you can take gurmar leaves
powder 5 gram daily or directed by physician.
JNAVAL| JNARA| BLACK PLUM/ SYZYGIUM CUMINI, JAMBOLAN, JAVA
PLUM, BLACK PLUM OR JAMUN:
The jnara fruit/jamun fruit nd seeds are good for diabetes
patient. Both the fruit and seeds have
anti-diabetic features. It is widely
used in ayurveda. The fruit has low
glycemic index. Normally the powder form
of seed is used for diabetes. Some
studies shows decoction of bark, seeds,
and leaves are beneficial to reduce urine sugar. Generally, jamun fruit and seeds are reduce
blood sugar. The black plum works
against diabetes and convert sugar into energy.
To control blood sugar,
you can take powder form of seed 1 to 3 grams 1 to 2 times
everyday. Fruit can also use. If your body is vata nature, better not to
take this.
MANGO LEAVES:
Mango leaves have high medicinal properties especially
tender leaves. They contain vitamins C,
A and B. These leaves are also rich in
other micronutrients. There contains flavonoids
and phenols in the leaves. Mango leaves
helps to reduce sugar level in the blood.
The mango leaves help to manage early stages of diabetes.
If you want to use mango leaves, take 4 to 5 mango leaves and crush them, soak in a cup of water overnight, strain it next day and drink it, this water to help relieve the symptoms of diabetes.

BLACK CUMIN SEEDS:
Black cumin seed is a traditional herb. This is widely used
in all over the world especially middle east, Africa, and Asia. This is a single herbal for many
diseases. Black cumin seed helps to
lowering blood sugar level in diabetes and some studies showing black cumin
seeds extracts prevent to some extent the damage to beta cells in the pancreas.
To reduce blood sugar level, you can use black cumin seed
extract or oil 2 gram daily or take capsule.
Take any one of these above as the availability of them
along with the medication. All of these
above remedies naturally help to reduce sugar in the blood, but regular blood
sugar monitoring is necessary.
